Review – Murder Go Round by Carol J. Perry

5/5 Stars

This is a series I look forward to reading. I find the hcaracters are smart, fun, and likable with a touch of quirkiness. This addition to the series was a fun outing as Lee and Aunt Ibby went to a storage locker auction. Of course they bid on a locker and won. As Lee and Aunt Ibby unpack the locker, Lee discovers a small wooden carousel horse that leads to another murder.

This is a delightful mystery with strong characters and plenty of suspects. There a plenty of twists and turns that kept me on my toes trying to figure out whodunit. I really enjoy this series and the characters. I look forward to reading what happens next.

Review – Headless in Nevermore by Violet Merriweather

4/5 Stars

This is the second book in the Nevermore series and it’s great. This book takes places shortly after the events in the first book (Magicless in Nevermore) take place. It is for this reason I strongly suggest reading the first book before starting the second. There will be a better understanding of what is going on in this book.

This is a complex story with an intricately woven plot. The characters are fun and interesting, also well drawn out. I really enjoy this series and look forward to reading will happen next.

Review – Magicless in Nevermore by Violet Merriweather

4/5 Stars

This is a wonderful start to a new series, I very much enjoyed it. Cassie is a young witch who hasn’t found her magic – yet. As soon as Cassie does find her magic, things get a little off kilter. Cassie is hired by the ghost of the dead body she just stumbled upon to discover who the culprit is. If that isn’t enough, Cassie must save Nevermore, the enchanted town all magical being reside.

This story quickly drew me in and kept me turning the pages, I didn’t want to put the book down. The author does a nice job of building suspense and keeping you on the edge of your seat so you will want to know what happens next.

I really enjoeyd the characters. I thought they are likable and I want toe get to know them better. I can’t wait to read more about them.

Cozy mystery fans who enjoy a paranormal element will be sure to enjoy this series.
